Studentlifenetwork i cant even i dont what @luckieststudent

studentlifenetwork:

I can’t even. I don’t. What — how do I put this? MEET JUSTIN BIEBER. CONTEST. ENTER NOW. http://bit.ly/OMG-Bieber

Ok ok ok. Look. You and a friend (who clearly will henceforth OWE YOU BIG TIME) could win tickets to Justin Bieber’s concert on July 25th at the Air Canada Centre, plus airfare to Toronto and hotel accommodation. But more importantly, you’d get Meet & Greet passes. I KNOW. I almost didn’t want to tell you guys, I was totally in the process of figuring out how to sneak these passes out of the laser-beam-protected glass case we’re keeping them in at the office. But, turns out that would get me fired. Lucky for you..

Speaking of luck, if you get all your rabbits’ feet and 4-leaf clovers together in a pile and cross your fingers until they go numb, you’ll be just about ready to enter the contest. Enter to meet Justin here: http://bit.ly/OMG-Bieber

A new prize has been revealed a tablet and @luckieststudent

A new prize has been revealed! A tablet and superphone of your choice!

Prize # 7 is a pair of awesome, useful things that can help you get ahead in the business world. They can get you organised, get you connected, and get you in the game technology-wise.

It’s a tablet AND matching superphone of your choice*, courtesy of our buddies at College Pro! Your friends will be so jealous … until you give them one of each too. College Pro want to encourage student entrepreneurs and give them some tools to improve productivity and communication on the job, so they’re providing Canada’s Luckiest Student with tablets and superphones for the winner and 3 friends. (Thanks, College Pro! You’re the best.)

By the way: want to start your own business? Or work part time for an existing one? Check out College Pro at collegepro.com – they’re kind of the experts.

Opt in now at http://luckie.st/CollegeProPrize7

*within the limits imposed by the contest rules; we’re not giving you one of those diamond encrusted Razrs. What are you, a Kardashian?

Studentlifenetwork heres a fun prank tell @luckieststudent

studentlifenetwork:

Here’s a fun prank: tell your mom she’s going to be a Grammy.  Pause for effect.  When she looks good and scared, add “… audience member!”  Hilarity ensues.

That’s right, you could take your mom (or anybody! I’m just biased in favour of moms) to the 55th Annual Grammys.  You and three guests could be walking the red carpet, rubbing elbows (and ONLY elbows, let’s not go crazy here) with the stars, and witnessing performances by The Black Keys, Fun., Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and more on February 10th.  We’ll send you there: tickets, hotel, airfare.  The whole shebang (and shebangs are expensive these days, yo.).

All you have to do to enter is sign up: getustothegrammys.com.  Contest closes February 3rd.

Were giving away access to one lucky student @luckieststudent

We’re giving away access to one lucky student + guest to attend the ultra-exclusive Rihanna 777 performance in Toronto on November 15th!

RIHANNA’S NEW ALBUM UNAPOLOGETIC is AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE November 19th.

To celebrate, she’s launched the unprecedented 777 Tour. 7 shows in 7 days in 7 countries

The tour arrives in Toronto on November 15th, and thanks to Universal Music Canada, we’ve got access!

We’ll also pay to make sure the winner can get to the show – no matter where they live in Canada.

So how do you win?  Students must prove to us that they’re a Rihanna fan by posting a photo, video or piece of art on one of their social networks by 11:59pm (PST) on Monday, November 12th 2012. Think costumes, cover songs, tribute paintings, or anything else that will convince our judges you’re a fan.

Make your post public so we can find it, tag the @StudentLifeNetwork and @UniversalMusicCanada, and fill out the form at
http://luckie.st/rihanna777 to agree to the contest terms.

We’ll repost all eligible photos, videos, artwork in one Facebook album, and a panel of seven judges will select the contest winner on Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at 7pm ET. Our judges will make their decision based on seven criteria: quality, originality, creativity, relevance, style, effort, and public support (the support your entry gets with likes and comments in our Facebook album).

We will notify the winning student immediately and make travel arrangements to get them to this ultra-exclusive event!

New referral contest new prize new way to win @luckieststudent

New referral contest!  New prize!  New way to win!  This time, every time you refer someone using your unique referral link, you’ll earn one entry to the draw to win a Dell XPS 12 Convertible Touch Ultrabook (log in and find your link here: http://luckie.st/DellReferralContest2).  That means it’s anybody’s game!

It’s a new month, which means it’s time for a new Canada’s Luckiest Student referral contest.  Yay!  What’s the prize this time?  It’s pretty sweet: a Dell XPS 12 Convertible Touch Ultrabook.

You young whippersnappers and your gadgets.  What is this thing, anyway?  *Looks it up*  Huh.  Wow.  It’s an actual, full-featured, full-powered Ultrabook, but instead of a regular screen it’s got a touch tablet attached with some kind of crazy flip-hinge screen … and it has Windows 8 … and all kinds of neat apps.  Alright this thing is amazing, where do I get one?

Oh right – win it.  How to win?  Simple.  Log in and find your unique referral code on your CLS dashboard at http://luckie.st/DellReferralContest2. Use your unique referral code (and ONLY that code) to get as many people as possible signed up for the contest.  Each new sign-up earns you one entry to win the Dell tablet.  So in theory, you could win with just one referral – but more sign-ups = more entries = much better chance of winning.  Do I have to spell it out for you?

But wait, there’s more!  If you’re doing some holiday shopping or just need to upgrade your gear, check out this deal: Students get Dell’s best price on all personal PC purchases through the member purchase program – call 1-877-297-6974 or visit www.dell.ca/mpp for details.

On your mark, get set, get referring!

Holy iphone5 demand batman we are blown away by @luckieststudent

Holy iPhone5 demand, Batman!  We are blown away by the response to the contest-within-a-contest; you guys have a serious competitive streak!  Most referrals are currently coming from Facebook and around the web, but a few students are having great success talking to people face to face and getting them to register with their smart phones at lunch, before and after school (NOT in the middle of class … ahem). One student told us he registered 7 students on his phone between classes!  Don’t forget the contest runs all month, so if you haven’t gotten in the game yet, there’s plenty of time to catch up.  Have you tried asking your mom for help?  Seriously.  Maybe instead of trying to set you up on dates with the (lovely, charming) offspring of her coworkers, she can ask her coworkers to sign those offspring up for the contest.

Log in, find your referral code and get the word out!

Its a contest within a contest first of all @luckieststudent

It’s a contest within a contest!  First of all, thanks for not choosing a dinosaur as the prize for the contest; that was going to be a pain to find.  According to our poll, what you guys really want is an iPhone5.  So that’s the prize!  And how do you win it?  Just refer the most students who sign up for Canada’s Luckiest Student by October 31st.  Log in to your Canada’s Luckiest Student dashboard and retrieve the unique referral link we’ve created for you to send out to people.  Make sure they use your link (and ONLY your link) to sign up, and you’ll get the credit!

You know how everyone always wants to know which 5 albums you’d take with you if you were going to be stranded on a desert island?  Well, that question is boring (and pretty outdated — who carries individual albums around with them anymore?).  You know what’s way more fun?  Deciding which friends you’d pick to share the Canada’s Luckiest Student prize packs with!   Start thinking, because this week we’ll be launching the “Share This Prize” button on your Canada’s Luckiest Student dashboard.  You’ll be able to select exactly which friends you’d like to share each prize pack with.  Check out the FAQ at http://luckie.st/Qk2x4b for more information, and get ready to play eeny-meeny-miny-moe!  Sharing is caring, y’all.

And now for the ethics question of the day should @luckieststudent

And now for the ethics question of the day: should the ant take the grasshopper on his shopping spree if he wins?  Discuss.

studentlifenetwork:

Gather round; it’s story time here at Canada’s Luckiest Student.

Once upon a time, the ant and the grasshopper were BFFs.  They played together all summer;  games like hide-and-seek, checkers, chubby bunny.  But when fall came, the ant realised it was time to buckle down and get to work, so he started collecting extra entry codes for Canada’s Luckiest Student.  The grasshopper, however, just hung around and played the fiddle, apparently whilst wearing a charming red neckerchief.  The ant opted in to the new Mexx prize pack (a $5000 shopping spree to share with 5 friends), and discovered that by doing so before the end of this weekend, he could enter the code WELOVEMEXX for 3 extra contest entries.  The grasshopper did no such thing.  “Winter is coming,” said the ant ominously.  But the grasshopper didn’t get the Game of Thrones reference, and just kept playing his stupid fiddle.  The weekend came and went, and the grasshopper missed his chance to use the code.  The moral of this story is: put down your fiddle and opt in to the Mexx prize pack now!

There are really only two kinds of sprees @luckieststudent

There are really only two kinds of sprees: shopping and killing.  Personally, we prefer shopping.  Hopefully you do too, because new prize has been unlocked – a $5000 Mexx shopping spree for you and your 5 most fashion-conscious friends.  Of course, you could always take your 5 *least* fashion-conscious friends and give them all makeovers.  It’s up to you.  Opt in now to make this part of your Canada’s Luckiest Student prize pack – you’ll also get 10 extra entries to the draw (TEN?  Holy crap!) just for opting in.

It’s LITERALLY a shopping spree, people.  Opt in here:

Now that the rush of the first day of school is @luckieststudent

Now that the rush of the first day of school is over, we’re looking for tips for making new friends. Here’s nine from our staff, tell us your favourite or suggest your own:

1. Ask to borrow a pen.

2. Join a club full of like-minded individuals involving a planned activity (bowling, chess, whatever), which hides the fact that everybody is socializing.

3. Talk about the world coming to an end in December.

4. If talking to strangers doesn’t come naturally, prepare a half-dozen conversation starters related to recent news, movies, etc.

5. Print a sheet of paper containing 12 large size Facebook “Like” buttons. Cut out the Like buttons and put them in your wallet. Situate yourself in a public space, and eavesdrop on nearby conversations. When somebody says something interesting, interrupt, and give them a Like.

6. Use open body language to signal that you’re open to meeting people. Make eye contact, unplug your MP3 player, and smile.

7. Take up smoking so you can meet people in the smoking pit. Don’t inhale and quit as soon as those new friends are made or you will die. Seriously, that stuff will kill you.
